SLURP stands for Staff Lovers' United Rescue & Placement

SLURP was established to provide for the rescue, care, and placement of American Pit Bull Terriers (APBT’s)/American Staffordshire Terriers (AST’s) that have been abandoned, neglected, abused, or surrendered by their former owners.

SLURP is a volunteer organization founded by Lora L. Bauer. Lora and other volunteers or shelters fostering and placing dogs under this name do not personally profit from any donations received for SLURP, or use any money for anything not related to the care, boarding, and placement of homeless APBT’s/AST’s in our care.

Since SLURP doesn’t have an actual shelter, I cannot physically take rescue dogs into my program. However, I am happy to post rescue dogs on my site and assist with evaluating dogs, and screening and placements for anyone willing to foster dogs, or for shelters requesting assistance.
